for over two decades, the Head for the Cure Foundation has built an extraordinary community united in the fight against brain cancer. Through our unwavering dedication, we have created a powerful and connected network of hope and support that continues to grow stronger each year.at the heart of our organization lies an unbreakable sense of community. Spanning events and operations in 32 cities across the united states, Head for the Cure has brought together over 300,000 passionate supporters spanning medical professionals, scientific partners, patients , caregivers and other loved ones, team captains, runners, walkers, donors and volunteers. This remarkable community has become an integral part of the local landscapes in which our events are held, forging deep connections and lasting legacies.through our more than 300 5k run/walks and other community events over the years, we have fostered an unrelenting spirit of unity and support. In 2023 alone, the Head for the Cure community raised nearly $2.7 million, the second-highest revenue total in our history, with over 20,000 participants joining our signature events and 12,000 additional donors contributing to our cause.but the strength of our community extends far beyond the numbers. It is the life stories, the experiences, and the unbreakable bonds that truly define us. Our expanding core initiatives, including brains for the Cure (bftc) and join your path to hope (jph), provide platforms for our community members to share their heartfelt journeys, offering guidance, inspiration, solace and a profound sense of belonging.as we continue our mission to "defeat brain cancer step by step," we are deeply grateful for the lasting support and profound connections that have strengthened and unified our community. Together, we will continue to build awareness, raise vital funds, and most importantly ignite hope for brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers, and all those whose lives have been touched by this devastating disease.
