Description
Head Strong Project provides confidential, barrier-free and stigma-free mental health treatment at no expense to heal the hidden wounds of war. They serve active-duty service members, members of the National Guard and Reserve, veterans, and their families. By 2022, they plan to treat over 2,000 veterans - a 45% increase from 2021. They also plan to expand their national program to four additional states, including Oregon and Idaho bringing their total to 15 states plus the District of Columbia.

Program areas at Head Strong Project

Clinical programs - thp's clinical program in 2023 served more than 2,100 veteran and/or military clients, delivering over 39,000 sessions. Thp operates in Washington, d.c., and 15 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, new jersey, new york, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. Thp has over 280 clinical providers, including psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, counselors, psychiatrists, and neurofeedback providers. Specializing in trauma treatment models in ptsd. Our clinical providers are trauma experts with military cultural competence providing services with proven therapies: cpt cognitive processing therapy), emdr: eye movement & desensitization reprocessing, and pe: prolonged exposure. Since its inception, thp has provided more than 190,000 clinical sessions to more than 4,900 individuals in our care.
