Program areas at Healing Farm Ministries
The day program supports adults with disabilities to build life skills and self help skills as they transition into life after high school. Participants in the program are put in a group consisting of four to six young adults with disabilities, a facilitator, and one to two volunteers that share similar interests. The groups explore opportunities based on the interests, gifts, and talents of their participants.
Camp ability is a summer day camp offering high school individuals with intellectual disabilities an environment where they can create new friendships and build life skills to further their level of independence. The camp and other gatherings foster the development of such skills and independence through activities at the organization's Farm as well as in the local community based on the gifts and interest of the participants.
