Vaccine hesitancy program. The Health Council was contracted to provide assistance across the region to assist with vaccine hesitancy.
Home paramedicine program sends florida-licensed paramedics into the homes of residents with chronic Health conditions at the request and direction of their physicians. Home assessments reduce unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations.
The Health Council conducts ongoing needs assessments in its four service counties to identify issues impacting population Health. Representatives sit on Health planning boards in each county, with the Health Council providing technical assistance and preparing analysis support to identify vulnerable neighborhoods and potential solutions. Certificate of need hearings and site approvals assist the agency for Health administration in approving service expansion where needed.
