"Heart of Gold Sanctuary rescues horses that face export for slaughter or euthanasia due to injury, illness or behavioral issues. We provide shelter, proper diet, and nutritional health tailored to each individual horse. In 2020, we expanded our rescue services by acquiring two rented ranches where we constructed new shelters, tack and hay storage barns, and pastures. By the end of 2020, we had grown from having three horses in 2019 to currently housing 16 residents while successfully adopting out other rescues.".
