Program areas at HTH

Nine North American teams involving 125 people traveled to Central America to serve alongside local churches and individuals. These teams worked in tandem with Honduran community commissions to support healthy leadership, empower school leaders and local children, build community centers, provide clean water, repair a road, complete church construction, and improve the infrastructure at the ministry headquarters. They engaged in relationships that will help the locals identify their own resources and potential. Heart to Honduras arranges travel, lodging and meals through Honduran partner Corazn Para Honduras.
Heart to Honduras provides funds to support the camps at Corazn Para Honduras. In 2023, 120 youth were able to attend the soccer camps and 6075 youth attended the Campamento Extremo Internacional. These camps provide opportunities for healthy social and spiritual development, and for youth to find their true identities as sons and daughters of God. We also provided support to the Soccer with Values program, through which coaches are provided the resources to train 125 young men in best practices on the field as well as in the development of respect, conflict resolution, self-esteem, sportsmanship, service, and faith.
Heart to Honduras (through Corazn Para Honduras) is equipping communities with sustainable models of work and development to identify their own needs, prioritize their development, and work together to provide clean water, secure housing, accessible medical care, a consistent food supply, adequate fair employment, as well as spiritual and educational opportunities. In 2023, approximately 5,700 people benefitted from Community Development programs.
