Program areas at Heartland Housing
Heartland Housing, Inc. was created as a non-profit 501(c)(3) affordable Housing development in 1989. Currently, Heartland owns and manages 1,279 affordable Housing units in the cities of chicago, madison, and parts of milwaukee. The projects cater to various types of participants such as low income, homeless, and sneiors. In addition, some of the projects provide supportive services to our residents to help them overcome barriers to Housing stability and achieve greater economic independence as well as assit them in finding work. (continued on schedule o).the long-term goal of the company is to facilitate the development of people through the preservation and creating of affordable and supportive Housing. Heartland Housing was put into a receivership effective may 2023.
