Hrf receives numerous requests for donations each year. Donees are vetted by hrf board members, in-country partners, and volunteers, as well as u.s. Organizations working in the same location who have knowledge of the proposed donee. The request for support is reviewed by the heineman executive committee and then selected. Donees who receive support maintain an ongoing relationship with hrf, which permits hrf to confirm that the donation is being used for the intended purpose.
