Helen's Hope Chest exists to reduce the financial burden on foster and kinship families while creating a safe, welcoming, and dignified space for the children in their care. We do this by providing our services in a shop-by appointment storefront where foster children select clothing, school supplies, birthday gifts, and other basic needs. Children also have the opportunity to participate in jakelle's christmas box, which provides gifts during the holiday season. During its history, Helen's Hope Chest has dedicated itself to serving foster and kinship children in the Arizona community, and we look forward to continuing to serve this population.-6,720 foster/kinship children served-41,000 articles of clothing or shoes were distributed-9,500 books were distributed
Each year 900 young adults age out of the foster care system in Arizona, and within two years, over 50% will become homeless.
