At or around 10,490 clients received HELPS' representation for our fee based on household income or discounted below the household income based fee schedule due to financial hardship or unforeseen circumstances. Please see Schedule O for more information.
In 2023 we spoke with at or around 9212 senior citizens legally disabled persons and other persons who contacted us for more information about our services. Please see Schedule O for more information.
Initial enrollment of 176 Pro Bono clients in furtherance of HELPS goal to provide services to all eligible persons in need of representation. AT intake it was determined that these clients had incomes below the 800 dollar fee threshold or financial circumstances making payment of any fee too burdensome. An additional estimated 2919 clients received our services for free. These were existing HELPS clients enrolled before 2023 or clients who experienced significant financial challenges making any payment for our representation too burdensome.
