In partnership with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, HOW Foundation provided 20 sessions of life-changing hyperbaric oxygen therapy for Virginia veterans suffering from traumatic brain injuries and/or post-traumatic stress. 92% experienced improved brain functioning, as measured by FDA-approved Central Nervous Systems Vital Signs neuropsychological evaluation, which was administered and interpreted by HOW Foundation staff.
HOW Foundation administered and interpreted Central Nervous Systems Vital Signs neuropsychological evaluations for 54 people across 5 states. The majority of these were veterans, located in the state of Florida. 2 Concussed Student Athletes and 36 veterans received life-changing hyperbaric oxygen therapy across 5 states. The total number of hyperbaric oxygen therapy that were financially supported by the Help Our Wounded Foundation in 2023 was 846. The Foundation continued its expansion in Virginia and Georgia, approving 2 new partnering hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinics.
