Heritage Acres Memorial Sanctuary LLC

As a growing new non-profit in only our fourth year of operation, Heritage Acres has begun the necessary shift from being a primarily volunteer-run organization, to one with several paid staff members. In May 2023-responding to an increase in the number and frequency of burial requests-we increased the hours of our outstanding Land Steward from half-time to become our first full-time employee. We also brought a new quarter-time Administrative Assistant on board. We also continue to use the paid contract services of a bookkeeper, a CPA, gravediggers, landscapers, and burial services providers. It takes all these folks, along with a large volunteer base, to maintain our lovely 40-acre property, including a beautiful burial meadow, an arboretum, wooded hiking trails and other facilities which are visited and enjoyed by a growing number of families and public visitors each and every month.
