Program areas at HG Fairfield Arts Center for the Environment
Programming including media workshop was designed for and with veterans,indigenous, and women and children at risk and keeps expanding to now include: film/radio productions; a youtube channel for participants' work to be distributed including; our young filmmakers atelier in nys' 2nd largest middle school, work with 2 putnam county,ny, school districts and a partnership where we've placed a filmmaker-in-residence as part of Arts at camp herrlich a 100 year old day & residential year-round nys boces certified outdoor education Center and retreat in patterson,ny, serving over 5,000 youth annualy from 4 states. During 2020 program was suspended due to the covid pandemic.
Sponsorship helps us accomplish our mission, maxmize regional resources, foster collaborative cooperation within and between communities, and accomplish common goals in line with mutual visions while maximizing beneficial outcomes. Our sponsorships tend to be longterm and have included other not-for-profits (as opposed to individuals) in line with our mission such as: the regional camp herrlich; the international globalfest featuring world musicians as global ambassadors of culture and harmony;the golbally impactful earth renewal ceremonies of the southern cheyenne; barnard college's athena Center for leadership studies' international athena film festival in nyc; and the east coast's daniel nimham intertribal pow wow in putnam county, ny. During 2020 program was suspended due to the covid pandemic.
