Program areas at High Adventure Treks for Dads & Daughters
Held more than 22 high adventure campouts for 251 dad/daughter or dad/son teams, focused on developing the dad/daughter or dad/son relationship and communication abilities. These campouts and high adventure activities are structured to strengthen family values in teenaged girls and boys and build strong and long lasting bonds with their fathers.
Completed 2 9-day Colorado Trek adventures for 19 dad/daughter and dad/son teams, providing a once-in-a-lifetime shared adventure experience. Facilitated relationship development, dad/daughter and dad/son communication, and leadership development through challenge by choice adventure activities.
Completed 4 wilderness leadership training campouts to teach leadership skills and public speaking skills to more than 60 daughters and sons. These young leaders then have the opportunity to practice these leadership skills by helping to lead High Adventure Treks camping events.
