Program areas at High Plains Environmental Center
Numerous educational programs, events and exhibits dedicated to the extensive public engagement in restoring natural habitat & landscaping with native plants to support wildlife & pollinators. Developed & maintained partnerships with the adjacent High Plains school and the thompson school district, loveland open space, loveland stormwater, and loveland public works, front range community college, Colorado state university, Colorado native plant society, Colorado avian research & rehabilitation institute (carri), & the poudre learning Center in greeley, co.hpec collaborated with the butterfly pavilion, Colorado native plant society, csu extension, front range wild ones, denver botanic gardens, audubon society, poudre learning Center, front range community college, thompson school district, volunteers for outdoor Colorado, wildlands restoration volunteers, Colorado avian research & rehabilitation institute (carri), city of loveland public works, city of loveland stormwater, & centerra metro district.hpec is currently planning for development of phase two of their visitor Center, the habitat factory, a working greenhouse and classroom that will highlight the relationship between native plants and wildlife.
