This 3 day event brings 4th grade students from the local communities to gain an understanding and appreciation for agriculture through hands-on experiences. Students rotate through 14 stations where they learn about botany, water conservation, and forestry, just to name a few topics. Students learn about how food goes from the farm to their table.
Highlands County Farm Bureau held its annual Speech Contest. Students are asked to research the topic and present their speech in front of industry professionals. These programs help students make connections between their daily life and agriculture.
