Program areas at Hingham Historical Society
Community outreach-in 2022, community outreach included an outdoor preschool story hour, lincoln day, springham, a celebration of our local country club and haunted Hingham which was a spooky take on the walking tours offered in october.
Membership events in 2022 included a downton tea & harvest supper
Education-in 2022 there were lectures over two separate series: out of the box: stories from our collection and native homelands/settler colonialism. Tours of our old ordinary property included summer and candlelight tours and walking tours increased and in addition to field trips with 5th grade students we piloted an 11th grade field trip.
In 2022, exhibits at the Hingham Historical Society featured polly thayer starr which the public enjoyed by admission or invitation. This exhibit was hosted at the Hingham heritage museum.
