In October of 2022, Alberta House welcomed Oregon Children Theatre young performance group for their production of Pestilence Wow!. While OCT has rehearsed here in the past, this was the first time they brought a full production to our space. The sold-out run brought emerging young artists to a part of town where they have never performed before.
In August of 2022, Renegade Opera performed a world premiere of an all-female adaptation of the opera Tito in our space. Alberta House was thrilled to help the mission of making Oprea more acceptable to a modern audience. This was our first full production in the space since March of 2022.
BackFence PDX, a live storytelling event, did its first show to a sold-out audience for the first time since March of 2022. The show was so well received, BackFence has decided to produce all their future storytelling events at Alberta House. This has introduced Alberta House to hundreds of community members who have never been through our doors.
