Program areas at HHT

Historic building conservation and property management: hhts main effort is ensuring the successful preservation of the irreplaceable Historic houses under its stewardship. Hhts staff consults on and manages restoration projects at the sites ranging from small repairs to large-scale capital projects.
Promotion & advocacy: hht's 23 partner Historic sites are located in distinct communities across New York City. Hht is committed to supporting inclusivity and accessibility, promoting innovative programming to connect New yorkers with their history, and advocating for the continued preservation of these important places.
Partner support services: one of hht's principal efforts is to support the community-based nonprofit organizations that operate the Historic houses as museums on a daily basis. Throughout the year, hht provides assistance to its nonprofit partners in areas such as capacity building, collections management, fundraising, board governance, and more.
