Hiv and Aging Research Project - PS

The timothy ray brown Community cure symposium - event held on world aids day 12/1/2023 and featuring mr. paul edmonds, the "city of hope patient- and 4th person cured of hiv.the nih-funded reversing immune deficiency to cure Hiv. (rid-hiv)collaborary named harp-ps as its Community engagement partner. Harp-ps is responsible for creating a Community advisory board to guide the Research and conduct Community outreach & education.

Virtual village: as part of a 2 year Research collaboration with uc riverside, usc, and university of south Florida beginning in 2021, we worked with a board of Community advisors across the country to develop a pilot online platform designed to help address the isolation, loneliness, and depression associated with growing older with Hiv, which of course was exacerbated by the covid pandemic. This culminated in a pilot of the virtual village based on the prior Research, which completed the Project in december, 2023.

Aging positively reunion Project - renamed "positively Aging Project" the 2023 presentation in september 2023 was the 8th annual and the guest speaker was aids activist peter staley.
