The Hmong American Farmers Association (HAFA) fosters the prosperity of Hmong American farmers through cooperative endeavors, capacity building, and advocacy. The Hmong American Farmers Association (hafa) is a membership based non-profit organization advancing economic prosperity of Hmong Farmers through capacity building, strategic partnerships, cooperative endeavors, community engagement and advocacy. Hafa focused its work in four areas; land access management of a 155 acre farm in dakota county providing land tenure and innovative sustainable farming; financial assistance - training Farmers on farm financials, business plans and loan access; training-provide bi-lingual bi-cultural training on whole farm plans, soil health and fertility, perennial production, food safety practices and equipment maintenance; alternative markets support in diversifying market outlet and aggregation of produce for contracts and community support agriculture (csa) program.
