Food Rescue Program - In 2023, Hole Food Rescue (HFR) diverted 364,463 pounds of nutritious food from going to waste, translating to over 343,000 pounds of food being redistributed to families in our community. HFR is supported by a team of 200 volunteers that rescue food seven days a week, 364 days a year.
Sprout Program - HFRs Sprout Program refers to all programs with an effort to reduce childhood hunger. Sprout Summer Lunch Program ensures that all children have a healthy lunch over the summer months when school is not in session. Sprout Weekend Food Bags provides a bag of nutritious groceries to families over the week- ends during the school year.
Food Recipient Program - Hole Food Rescues Food for the Community Program / Comida de la Comunidad is a direct-to-community model that reduces barriers inherent to traditional food access, such as time, location, language, and choice. These programs have grown to be staples in their respective communities, seeing 1,500 individual visits monthly.
