Program areas at Holyoke Revolver Club
The organization does not charge a fee for junior members. The objective of the junior membership is to reduce barriers for youth participation in both organized and continued education on the importance of responsible firearm ownership. The program was instituted in 2017. The youth membership and active participation in the organization's junior team events for 2021 is now 20 junior members in regular attendance. Junior members enrolled at the organization exceeds 31 and represents about 7% of total expenses
The organization provides ammunition to junior shooting program practice. The objective of this program is to reduce barriers to youth participation in practice sessions necessary to recruit and develop team shooters. This program allows junior shooters the rare ability to enjoy shooting sports without encumbering themselves or their parents with expenses associated with practice ammunition
The organization sponsors the nationally sanctioned junior shooting program. The objective of this program is to create a learning and recognition path for junior shooters within an organized, national program. The organization provides an annual stipend of approximately $2,500 and further underwrites and reimburses additional program expenses related to tournament enrollment and other expenses. The organization's junior team has competed in regional and national events (and engages in the necessary intramural practice needed to build proficency) with great success. The secondary value with this participation and recognition is that organized events allow opportunity for college recruitment.
