Program areas at HBA
In 2022 the hba of metro Denver received most of its revenue from assessing builder members for each building permit issued and member dues. These items generated $ 1,079,405 in revenue. The Association hosts several networking, training and educational events as benefits to the membership. The three largest events contributed $117,784 in net profit to the Association. A description of these events and the associated revenues and expenses are as follows:parade of homes: this event allows builder members that choose to participate the opportunity to showcase a select number of their homes to the public in the communities where they build homes. The Association obtains sponsorships from its associate members (non-builder members) and builder members pay entry fees to the Association for the right to have their homes promoted to the public by the Association. In return the Association promotes the event to the public through various media channels to achieve the widest possible attendance by the public. An "industry night" is held as part of the poh exclusively for Association members to "kick-off" the poh. The Association obtains sponsorship from associate members and charges all members a fee to attend the event. The poh and industry night events generated $183,545 in revenue and incurred $119,571 in expense for a net contribution of $63,974.marketing and merchandising excellence (mame) awards: this event recognizes members for marketing, product and sales excellence in various categories, based on the price range of their homes. Association members provide sponsorship dollars in return for promotion of their sponsorship at the event and builder members pay a fee to enter their products in the competition. Attendees of the event pay an entry fee. This event generated $186,393 in revenue and incurred $156,656 in expenses for a net contribution of $29,737.golf outing fundraiser: this event is a networking fundraiser event in the form of a golf outing. The Association receives sponsorship dollars from its members, charges attendees a fee to participate and gathers miscellaneous revenue from various events during the outing. The event generated $57,507 in revenue and incurred $34,874 in expenses for a net contribution of $22,633.
