HBAV hosts a black tie cocktail party and dinner banquet as part of a formal ceremony for the installation of new senior officers of the HBAV board. Members are given an opportunity to participate in seminars relating to current issues facing the building industry during the Home Builders annual convention.

Hbav's annual conference and housing excellence provides member education and industry recognition for leaders that have advanced the residential construction industry in Virginia.

Hbav's Virginia Builders summit & expo provides the residential construction industry with education and access to the latest building products, techniques, and best practices.
