Description
Homed empowers people in creating a way forward in health, housing, and finance through Christian principles. This is achieved by providing services that create independence and self-sufficiency so individuals can live, learn, and grow. The organization has assisted 110 kids with toys for the 2022 holiday season through their Hero toy drive supported by the Seminole county fire department for low-income families. Homed also provides grants and scholarships to youth for athletics and academics through BDS Youth Grants and Scholarships. Multiple youths have been supported with 3 grants given.

The trailblazer program is our youth focused program where we help to develop skills in health, housing, and financial stability. We provide the students with mentoring, financial literacy education, counseling resources and others such as curriculum development on resume writing, interviewing practice, relationships coaching, etc. We do provide financial literacy to our students in the trailblazer program as well as offer financial literacy to adults receiving paychecks. We offer incentives to the students to stay on course. Part of being in the program is doing volunteer work and attending counseling sessions.
