Twice a month adoption events are held at Petsmart-Tylersville (1st Saturday) and Petsmart-Mason (3rd Saturday). This gives the general public a chance to meet our animals and volunteers and find information about our organization. At these events we discuss animal care, how the rescue helps the animals and the importance of Spay/Neuter. We also have cats and kittens in the Petsmart cages at Tri-County and Tylersville stores. These cats and kittens can be adopted directly from Petsmart by HART volunteers. Volunteers clean the cages and socialze the animals. Kittens not adopted within 3 weeks and cats not adopted within 4 week are returned to their foster families.
We attend meetings with various organizations, radio programs and civic events where we educate the public on the importance of Spay/Neuter, how to stop animal abuse and neglect and ways they can voluteer to help the rescue. All activities are performed by voluteers.
