It held its 76th annual shinnen enkai new years celebration with 81 attendees who participated in a virtual program including a traditional kabuki play by prominent business members. The chamber also hosted a webinar series on COVID-19 and vaccine effects on the community and businesses with participation from 54 members.

Program areas at Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce

77th annual shinnen enkai new years celebration: 242 members and guests attended the virtual program. The program included a re-enactment of a traditional kabuki play by prminent business members. The purpose of this event is membership development and to perpetuate Japanese cultural heritage.
Game changers: the mission of the game changers event is to contribute to bring unique business insights to our members to deal with today's dynamic environment. We hope that our members and guests will begin to discover a better way of embedding and embracing environmental stewardship and social/community strengthening into each attendees businesses and lives through these talks with game changing leaders in our community. 210 members and guests attended this event.
Inauguration and generational award banquet: the organization established the generational award to honor a member company for their significant contributions to the growth and develpment of Hawaii's business community sectors over two or more generations of ownership. In addition, the new officers are inducted and outstanding member awards are presented. 404 members and guests were in attendance.
