Education: Hope Abounds provides a bi-monthly webcast program titled Focusing On You enabling us to provide a wide variety education of oncology subjects for the cancer patient, awareness of cancer prevention and early detection for the general public. Programs can be live streamed, recorded and archived on the HA website, YouTube, Apple TV and Roku channels. Because of these educational programs, we are able to provide opportunities for one to learn about current and up to date medical discoveries and how to include these new initiatives into day to day practice regarding the circle of care treatment for the patients as it relates in the field of oncology.
Patient Navigation: Patient Navigatian Is a vital resource to a newly diagnosed patlent of cancer. There are many emotions a patient is experiencing such as fear of the unknown as it relates to their current health status to the lack of awareness of support each patient may reaiize. By coming alongside of a patient, we are able to assist them in developing and sustaining a support system at home and most importanily through Hope Abounds. A cancer patient will work witl"r a team of physicians in lieu of just one doctor from this diagnosis. It is important to follow and keep informed of each physician's diagnosis and prognosis to confirm that a patient is on track for a healthy and completed cancer treatment journey. To assist them to maintain all documentation and medical information, Hope Abounds created and produces a Patient Resource Notebook. Hope Abounds provides these notebooks to medical professionals/facilities to distribute to their cancer patients.
Patient Advocacy: Patient Advocacy is provided for those that reach out to Hope Abounds for assistance to connect with patient resources and funding opportunities through national, state, county and local support grants that are offered. After assessment is completed with patient, the Patient Advocates of Hope Abounds are able to network on their behalf to provide the needed assistance of maintaining household and medical costs during their active cancer treatment.
