Hope Clinic recognizes, educates and medically treats patients who are without resources as well as links those who qualify to established programs to meet their needs. The all-volunteer staff treats around eighty patients per day, twice weekly. Preventative care and routine health maintenance are provided so that patients will not need emergency medical services. Hope Clinic acts as a non-emergency medical home for qualifying patients until they are able to obtain other resources needed.

Program areas at Hope Clinic

After opening its doors on June 29, 2010, the Hope Clinic's all-volunteer staff began treating approximately eighty patients per day, twice weekly. The Hope Clinic is a non-emergency medical home for qualifying patients until they are able to obtain other coverage. To qualify for its services, individuals must be:a. At or below 150 percent of federal poverty guidelines;b. Without medical insurance coverage;c. Ineligible for other public medical assistance programs.In other words, the Hope Clinic is a 'safety net' which services individuals who have no other medical treatment options.The Hope Clinic typically treats individuals with chronic illnesses such as poorly controlled diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, anemia and associated complications. The Hope Clinic also provides preventative care with the aim to relieve strain from overburdened emergency rooms and other public health programs. Patients also receive some ancillary health care from various volunteer specialists such as physical therapists, oncologists and gynecologists. In addition, the Hope Clinic, at no charge, provides laboratory testing, routine and urgent follow-up care, prescriptions, assistance with obtaining no-cost medications from pharmaceuticals and other medical supplies such as syringes, bandages, dressings and blood glucose monitoring products. All medical supplies are donated to the Hope Clinic and are provided to patients at no cost.
