Hope for Creation and Poor People's Campaign

We began managing projects at 11 low-income congregations across the state, helping them put 100,000 each 1.1 million total in grant dollars into energy saving building improvements. We implemented our pilot Postive Energy solar project, solarizing the first black church in Detroit through crowd lending. Engaged in a campaign to pressure General Motors to keep their promise to move away from gasoline and diesel powered vehicles, delivering a letter with 15,000 signatures to GMs headquarters. Connected 163 congregations with free energy efficient upgrades from their utility.
