Horseheads Family Resource Center

Hfrc programs include year-round drop-in play in two locations during daytime, evening, and weekend hours, as well as enrichment activities, small group programs, parenting classes, special events, supervised visits, and a summer lunch program. During hfrc programs, families with young children engage in developmentally appropriate play and activites that support school-readiness skills, with an emphasis on social-emotional competence, executive function skills, and language acquisition, and staff members answer questions and help families connect to any resources they may need. Hfrc is open to all families and is free of charge. During 2023, 801 families were served and yearly attendance of children and adults at all hfrc programs was 17,471.
