Program areas at HEAL
In 2022 lisa d'alessio remained in the position of executive and clinical director of the Heal Foundation. The bod voted unanimously to join the prince william county chamber of commerce in order to further develop community relationships and to access the members only local veterans advisory council. This allows Heal to connect and develop relationships with local veterans and first responders in prince william county. The Heal Foundation hosted Equine Assisted Learning events with small groups of veterans and first responders as well as members of the chamber. This increases Heal access to the veteran and first responder community, potential donors and raises the Heal profile and presence within the local business region.
Heal continued fundraising efforts online again hosting a virtual fundraisers. Heal doubled the number of clients served in 2022, providing individual, group and family Equine facilitated psychotherapy to veterans, first responders and their family members.
Heal launched a new integrated and modern website in 2022. This allows for a more cohesive brand identity and an improved client experience. Also, the webiste allows for Heal to reach more clients and prospective clients by having an increased online presence.
