To provide therapeutic horsemanship programs for people of all ages with physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities in the sioux falls regional area in the form of hippotherapy, therapeutic riding, and ground work. Continued reported improvements in Riders' large muscle group strength, favorable response to authority, and increased self-confidence drive the need for horsemanship programs for Riders with various disabilities in the community. Horsepower is the only year-round facility of its kind in the state of south dakota, and the only facility that serves the greater sioux falls south dakota region.
