Program areas at Hospitality Education Foundation of Georgia

Hefg's premiere event brings together every segment of the industry for one day to educate students on the variety of careers in the Hospitality and food service industry. This is not a job fair. This event is about exploration and learning. Attracting over 2,500 passoinate students and their instructors, ready to learn from the very people that have the careers today. Schools attending the event receive funding to help offset their travel costs.
Thirty five executive chefs and ten restaurant executives judge Georgia's top culinary and managment teams to determine which school will represent Georgia at the national prostart invitational. Every student competitor wins scholarships and the top three places win thousands of dollars in college scholarships, medals, and trophies. The first place culinary team and the first place management team win an all expense paid trip for the five day national prostart invitational in anaheim, California.
