Program areas at House of Grace

Founders Day-former graduates and women that had been residents came to a gathering at our church to tell of how their lives had. been improved by learning Life Skills, etc. at the House of Grace. Most of these women are still in touch with the mentors that we connected them with while they were at House of Grace.Graduation-another woman (Ashley) graduated the 12-month program. There were 50 people in attendance as we highlighted that she had improved her credit rating, purchased a car, obtained a career position and been promoted twice, received facilitators "Heal Your Life" training at a 1-week seminar through her work and was now going to return to the house as a teacher for others.Placement-House of Grace fields approximately 70 calls per month from men and women seeing our website or hearing about us through the jail ministry. Some of the women apply at House of Grace but for most, we give referrals to the right agencies based on their circumstances. This is a benefit to the County that we supply by helping people get off the streets and into the best housing and rehabs for them. We field calls every day and provide guidance toward mental health facilities as well that can get women to safety and the correct rehabs.Directing to Programs-in addition, we direct women to programs throughout the valley such as Celebrate Recovery (CR), Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA). We also connect these women with sponsors and mentors. While at House of Grace, women are encouraged to reach out to the community in a service capacity. We provide a community for them to continue to thrive through outreach ministries with other people who are serving. I n this way, they are not tempted to go back to old relationships that included the drug community.
