House of Hope Haiti

We have transitioned all the kids who lived in the orphanages to live with relatives. We continue to support these families with food aid, medical care, books and uniforms, and school tuition. Several of them attend our school, and others attend local schools and follow on schools. Our goal is to provide them with the skills and means to become productive & contributing citizens.

We continue our outreach to mountain villages and the communities near our school and orphanages. This year, we provided books, uniforms, and free schooling for almost 200 kids in the community, and distribute food. We also continue to maintain three wells that are available for the public. We built two "spring boxes" in the mountains to collect spring water for villager household use.

We operate a K-13 school which is attended by over 700 children from the community and surrounding villages. This is the only secondary school in the region. Despite political and social turmoil and the constant threat of violence, our school has remained open and serves the community.
