Farmers' market- farmers' market goals are to increase the demand, availability, and access to fresh produce. In addition, create a public space to serve as a tool for social integration and provide an incubator for small farmers and distressd areas. The farmers' market program also includes a mobile market that travels to communities with fresh produce to provide access to healthy foods and community supported agricultural programs, that helps small farms reach more residents. Farmers' market and mobile market served approximately 25,000.
Urban farm- a working farm managed by Hub City farmers' market staff, the urban farm seeks to educate the public about farming practices and the benefits of healthy, local food through programming and volunteer opportunities. The urban farm covers approximately 1/2 acre located at northside harvest park. Produce from the farm is sold or donated to individuals, businesses, and community organizations.
