Program areas at HAWC

Shelter and care for homeless, lost, unwanted, neglected and abused dogs and cats until they are returned to their owners or adopted to forever homes. Euthanasia becomes necessary in cases of extreme illness or dangerous agressive behavior. The organization partners with the Warren County dog wardens office to house, feed and care for stray dogs for the required 72 hour holding period before they are deemed available for adoption.
