Humane Society of Imperial County

The Humane Society shelter handles animals which were checked for disease, fed, housed and vaccinated. Many of these animals were spayed/neutered and adopted into good homes. Monthy adopt-a-thons were sponsored at a local pet store in which other spayed and neutered shelter animals were adopted. San diego rescue groups took many animals from us which they spayed/neutered and placed.

Humane Society staff and other volunteers trapped ferral cats in different locations, transported them for spay/neuter and returned them to thier environments. The animal control officers of the cities of brawley and calexico have also participated in this program.
