Program areas at HSWC
Tnr program - the hswc believes that companion animals, whether owned or unowned, deserve to be provided with care. Hswc provides the community free spay and neuter surgery for unowned feral cats, as well as rabies vaccinations and other medical attention as needed.
Hands in paw program - the hand in paw program is designed to help people and pets in crisis. Hswc offers a free pet food bank which gave away 10,725 pounds of food in 2022, as well as $4,382 paid to cover veterinary emergencies for owned pets.
Animal care - every pet that comes into the hswc receives basic medial and behavioral evaluations. Each pet is provided with age appropriate vaccinations, microchips, dewormer, combo test and is spayed or neutered. Many animals require additional medical or behavioral attention, which is provided as needed.
