Program areas at HumankindNOW
We raised $276,054 in donations and between the cash donations and PPE that was donated, we were able to purhcase and ship 523,860 individual pieces of PPE(N95 masks, surgical masks, goggles. gowns, etc.) to healthcare workers. Some donations were in bulk to hospitals or other nonprofits such as Doctors Without Borders(operating in US), but most were to individual health care workers that highlighted their needs on our website. We were an all volunteer organization (other than a fundraising director hired in September)and used third parties for packageing, storing and shipping equipment. We had no facilities that we owned or rented as all work was done from home/remotely. In addition to the cash donations raised, we also were donated 115,750 units of N95($5 per unit, so $578,750 and 1000 surgical gows ($20 per unit) so $20,000 worth or gowns. That made the total amount of raised income $874,804 ($276,054 in cash and $598,750 in equipment). All expenses were either operational expenses ($13,078 in salary and $7558 in administrative costs) or expenses related to to the direct program of procuring PPE ($201,076), shipping PPE to healthcare workers ($65,788). Our only liability is a $75,000 EIDL loan which we received in 2020. Total expenses were $283,398. We hired one employee who was with us between September 2020 and March 2021. All tax forms have been filed for them via the website Onpay.com. William Davidson, the CFO and board member, used his home address as the location of the business. He did not deduct anything for this.
