Program areas at Hydratelife
During this accounting period HydrateLife provided funding for our in-country partner, The Association of Fishermen, farmers, indigenous and Afrodescendant Community Development of the Bajo Sinu Cienaga Grande, or ASPROCIG, to providing 130 ceramic water filter systems to the community of Candelaria Arriba, Colombia. One filter system went to each household (total of 730 people), and the remaining 3 went to the elementary school in the community (approx 30 students). This community does not have clean drinking water, and with these systems the water that is collected can now be filtered into clean drinking water.
During this accounting period HydrateLife provided funding for our in-country partner, The Association of Fishermen, farmers, indigenous and Afrodescendant Community Development of the Bajo Sinu Cienaga Grande, or ASPROCIG, to acquire and install a solar pumping system and support equipment at the elementary school in Candelaria Arriba, Colombia. This system included a solar panel, a water pump, a 250L storage tank, a 500L storage tank, and additional electrical equipment and piping required for the system. This system will serve the approximate 30 children at the school.
During this accounting period HydrateLife provided funding for our in-country partner, The Association of Fishermen, farmers, indigenous and Afrodescendant Community Development of the Bajo Sinu Cienaga Grande, or ASPROCIG, to acquire and install a rainwater harvesting system at the elementary school in Candelaria Arriba, Colombia. This system included steel gutters that were installed to capture rainwater and piping to an already existing storage tank. This system will serve the approximate 30 children at the school.
There were two bank charges incurred due to the wire transfer. One in the amount of $46, and another in the amount of $92.25.
