Description
I Support Community NFP develops kids with character inside and out. The organization served over 2,000 elementary children last year through the Inside Out Club in schools, teaching them social and emotional skills centered on character through service learning. Additionally, they hosted 22 weekend events for 346 children ages 3-12 through the Inside Out Club DuPage, incorporating their unique curriculum that combines SEL learning with service.

Program areas at I Support Community NFP

Inside Out Club DuPage (IOCD) Series Programs: K-5th Series (extracurricular program; 1 hour per week; 5-weeks; twice a year) Lessons with videos, books, discussions and hands-on service projects. Each series is led by IOCD staff or trained volunteers, including may teachers and social workers. During the 2023-24 school year we served 825 kids through this program.
Business Designers 4 Good - middle school program to empower students to develop skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, social responsibility and emotional intelligence. Offered after school as well as a summer camp version. Last year IOC had 53 participants.
Pre-K - 5th Events: (18-20 one-hour events offered individually throughout the year) These events are designed for families with children ages 3-12, are led by trained volunteers or IOCD staff and are hosted at a variety of community locations, often on weekends. (45-60 minutes each; $10 per child/ adults free). Last year 584 participants took part in these events.
SkillsBox10 is an new program for high schoolers designed to help them unlock ten critical life skills through the experience of putting on an authentic event. This program incurred development expenses last year, but doesn't have income associated with it yet.
Summer programming through partnerships. IOC provides lessons to campers at the Naperville YMCA, Naperville Park District and the Glen Ellyn Park District. Last year there were 1,660 hours of IOC at local summer camps. Additionally, during the year IOC provides collaborative character-building projects/activities to local schools. Both of these are summarized below.
