To place public health, safety and welfare above all other interests and to apply the special knowledge and skills of the membership to meet this goal. To investigate and identify the application of safety in the construction, occupancy and location of buildings and related structures. To develop, maintain and support consistency and enforcement of the adoption of the international Building code, other icc codes and related documents. To develop, recommend and support uniform regulation and legislation pertaining to Building construction, and to promote uniform application of zoning practice and interpretation. To advise and assist in administration of Building laws and ordinances, and to support the code development and application locally, regionally and nationally. To support uniformity of Building regulations at all levels of government. To sponsor, suuport and participate in nationally recognized educational seminars and training programs for personnel and elected Officials involved with the enforcement and administration of the uniform codes.
