Our afterschool & summer mentorship program engages youth (ages 10-21)in a variety of art, craft, music, cultural and stem activities directed by staff using trauma-informed practices. These youth are extremely disadvantaged socioeconomically and suffer health disparities. They have high rates of delinquency and abuse, and a disproportionate number of our participants have learning disabilities. Our program center provides a safe and supportive environment where youth learn to express themselves in healthy ways, form supportive relationships, and access academic support.
