Practice and governance - presented conferences, educational courses, and meetings. Enhanced the profession of Physical Therapy by assisting members in their understanding of the rules and regulations relating to the payment procedures of government agencies and insurance companies, and by facilitating research, quality practice and quality review functions related to the Physical Therapy profession. Public relations - engaged in the recruitment and retention of members. Worked to identify and meet the needs of members through newsletters, publications, website and other related materials. Worked to increase public awareness of Physical Therapy through outreach materials, events and media.
Ipta electronic publications: keeping you connected - distibuted twelve times to members (4,000 per issue), your advocate - distributed twelve times to members (4,000 per issue), leadership update - distributed twelve times to volunteers (80 per issue), ssig news - distributed four times to students (1,000 per issue), in the know - distributed six times to volunteers (150 per issue), assembly update - distributed four times to volunteers (200 per issue).
Legislation: in Illinois, advocated for changes in rules for the administration of the pt act. Pairing members to encourage professional growth in mentor program: 70 participated. Education: provided virtual learning opportunities for licensed Physical therapists, Physical therapist assistants and Physical Therapy students - approximate participation: 2,144, provided sexual harassment prevention training for licensees: 1,033, provided training for ethics: 759.
