This work resulted in 431 earned media mentions with a potential reach of 1.05B people. By amplifying and creating a platform for people who have survived the prison system to share their experiences with local and national audiences IPP's work made strides in unwinding pervasive myths about the people housed in Illinois prisons the reality of prison life and the desperate need for pathways out of prison. IPP's Education staff and Ambassadors reached 27,806 people through a variety of events that included online forums and gatherings in community spaces such as schools workplaces and religious institutions.
