The Washington region's leading theatre dedicated to children, presents programs that reflect the institution's deep commitment to innovation, inclusion, diversity, and artistry. These programs include professional theatre productions, arts education classes, access, and inclusion.professional theatre: Imagination Stage has grown from a handful of children in a single classroom to a full-spectrum theatre arts organization, with theatre productions by professional actors and artists. Unlike most children's theatre companies, Imagination Stage commissions new works for children every year. These productions have been recognized with awards and productions by other companies around the world.arts education: our arts education programming inspires youth of all ages and abilities to grow as artists and innovators. We provide quality, year-round education in acting, musical theatre, dance, and filmmaking in an inclusive and welcoming environment, including inclusion supports to peer-group access classes in order to provide the most successful experience for each student.theatre for change: using theatre productions and educational workshops to bridge cultural divides and lift up underrepresented voices, Imagination Stage's theatre for change program explores complex social justice issues to help build a new generation of compassionate, collaborative children who are capable of changing the world.
