Imagine Bus Project

Youth studio - the youth studio is an introduction to art and design fundamentals for youth inside juvenile detention facilities including the san francisco juvenile justice center, los guilicos juvenile hall and probation center in sonoma county, and the san mateo youth services center. By introducing art materials, techniques and the creative process in a formal large group setting, youth are exposed to positive methods for expression and communication. During fiscal year 2017/18, over 400 instructional hours were delivered to over 350 youth.

Arts on the outs - arts on the outs is a 9-month pilot reentry program where youth released from juvenile institutions receive continued arts education and individualized life-skill building with a case manager. Participants have the opportunity to create portfolio pieces that they can use to apply for internships, jobs and scholarships through one of our partnering art colleges. They also have an opportunity to exhibit and share thier art work with the broader community at public events sponsored by the Imagine Bus Project.
